Editor's Gab
With Daylight Savings being here already, most of you know what that means. More daylight hours coupled with warmer weather means more people spending less time stuck at their computers. That will effect each of us.
Let's also couple that with Tax Season! April is a tough month for everyone online.
Don't get discouraged. Don't let it get you down. Just let it encourage you to work harder, be disciplined and keep your ultimate goal in mind.
We'll make it through.
Mentorship Program Finally Launched!
Over the past few years I've had many ask me to mentor them. After careful consideration I have decided to put together a 12-week course that will help others. The course is entitled...
"Prelude To Your Online Success".
It's not an easy one, folks. There's assignments, tasks, learning self-awareness, learning your own capabilities, so much more.
It's one-on-one consultation in three ways: (1) Weekly (three or more times a week) phone conferencing; (2) Computer conferencing; and (3) email correspondence.
Tasks/assignments are given with deadlines.
I'm taking this course seriously and those interested need to have the same seriousness. With that said I will tell you it's not cheap.
I have room for only seven people over the next three months.
If anyone is interested, please visit http://www.theraybourneffect.com/PA/mentor.html
Again, I have room for only seven people for the next 12 weeks. If you don't make that, we can schedule your mentorship to begin after that.

Love Makes The World Go Round - By Mike Brescia
We've all experienced what it feels like to help someone
who needed it, haven't we? It feels great.
When I say someone who needed it, it's easy to picture
victims of tragedies, accidents or those who are ill.
But the truth is...
We all have needs. Little ones and big ones. Every day.
And if we only give of ourselves, whether it be time,
money or good feelings and a smile ONLY when those we are
giving to are dying, mourning or destitute, then a couple
dynamics start and/or continue.
One is that the world you live in, your community and your
immediate environment becomes or stays one of individuals
who are only looking out for themselves. A perfect example
is what happens with most teenagers who are now spreading
their wings and getting new privileges never before
enjoyed. Feelings of "I don't have to..." and "You can't
make me..." are devastating to every facet of society,
including the person carrying these beliefs.
Being only or primarily "self-centered" is what makes
people take things that aren't theirs. It causes hazing
over or "forgetting" the truth even though there are
certain bad consequences to others. This sick mentality of
hiding the truth to escape a potential punishment is
facilitated in our homes, our schools and in our jobs.
When honesty is only offered up when it won't hurt, then
there is no learning, no growing and we ALL get hurt by it.
I'm convinced that honesty and compassion may be the most
important virtues that a person could possess.
The knowledge that, "We got away with that one!" doesn't
help-it hurts.
It teaches us to look for short-cuts to the reward by
cheating.
It prevents us from doing something nice for someone else
"just because." It makes us believe that "winning" and
"getting mine" are the only things that count.
Legendary coach John Wooden's philosophy is that doing our
best is the most important thing. And because that was the
goal, not winning, his UCLA basketball teams did win 10
national championships in 12 years.
What's this got to do with "All you need is love"?
-Love is doing what's best for all.
-Love is believing that you get more by giving more, not
hoarding what little you've got.
-Love is knowing that you've got incredible talents (you
do!) and using them for a larger good.
-Love is seeing the good in others and helping it shine.
-Love is feeling the fear and doing it anyway.
-Love is continuing to learn and compassionately helping
others to learn, too.
In the weeks that have followed since September 11th,
we've all seen what love is.
Here's the challenge... Keep it in mind always. Every
time we:
-Cheat and try to find justification
-Lie to protect ourselves or others
-Yell insults to others in the name of "just being honest"
-Ignore someone who needs assistance
...every time we do these things, we teach ourselves to do
it again. We teach those around us to do them.
And we become something we despise in others.
It's awfully hard to have high self-esteem and feel worthy
of success then, isn't it? It's not hard to wonder why
most people don't achieve more in life, huh? We don't
think we're worth it. Not after all we've done "to" others
instead of "for" others.
We've all got it in us. I've seen it. You've seen it.
But we only occasionally show brief glimmers of it.
Show more today.
Do your best. Help someone before they ask. Tell the
truth. Teach what you know. Earn your rewards and you'll
get more than you think.
Just give it a try.
Don't worry about what reactions you do or don't get from
anyone else. The most important thing is that YOU know
you're doing right and showing love in all that you do.
Give all your passion in everything you do today and I'll
bet you'll sleep better tonight than you have in a long,
long time.

Are paid surveys a waste of your time?
The below was provided by Robert Thompson.
Recently, while visiting one of my favorite business forums, I ran across some interesting comments concerning paid surveys. The gist of these comments was that taking online surveys is a waste of time. Here is my answer to those comments...
.... Just because you didn't earn any money with surveys, that doesn't mean that they are a waste of time.
Like any other online opportunity, it takes time and effort to build an income with surveys. Many people who have failed, say the same thing about SFI, Goji, Empowerism, and dozens of other online stay at home job opportunities. But, thousands of members of these same companies are making good money every month. Try to convince them that they are wasting their time, and they will laugh at you. Meanwhile, their bank accounts just keep filling up with cash!
Survey takers can earn a solid second income. It may not be more than a few hundred dollars each month, but it's enough to pay the light bill or the phone bill, or maybe both. It takes time to build up a steady stream of business, but the same thing applies regardless of what business you choose to pursue.
The biggest downfall that new survey takers face, is a lack of knowledge of the activity itself. Hopefully, the following will give you a good starting point.
To earn money with surveys, you consider doing the following:
1. Study. Don't expect things to be all rosy just because the ad looked good when you signed up. Take the time to learn the mechanics of the survey business. This will allow you to identify your particular niche.
2. Continually update your registrations as your survey company updates their data base. New marketing firms are looking to test their products all of the time, so the data bases will constantly grow.
3. Create a separate Email account just for survey business, and make sure that you turn off all of the spam filters for this account. Often, surveys will trigger a spam filter, and you will never even know that someone wanted you to take part.
4. When you fill out a questionnaire for a potential survey, you might find out that you don't qualify for that particular survey. Send a thank you note and ask to be considered for future surveys.
The magic words, "Please and Thank You" never go out of style.
5. When you are offered surveys that result in points, coupons or drawings, fill them out! These are often used as qualifiers by different companies. By completing them, you show that you are serious about participating, and as a result, you increase your chances of being contacted with cash offers.
6. Be truthful and give complete demographic information when applying. Don't pretend to be a 24 year old woman, when you are actually a 35 year old man. These companies have junk filters too, and they can see through this nonsense in a New York Second.
7. Search for forums that concentrate on surveys. You will be pleasantly surprised by what you find. There are folks out there who are willing to share what they have learned. Take advantage of that help to refine your survey skills.
One of the keys to running a successful stay at home job, is to establish multiple streams of income. Each of these streams might only provide a few dollars each month, but with enough different sources, you will find that you are able to earn a substantial second income. Paid Surveys can provide a terrific income stream, that will continue to grow as you become more knowledgeable and experienced with them.
You may not get filthy stinking rich by completing surveys, but if you follow these seven steps, you stand a good chance of earning enough to pay a couple of extra bills each month. Besides, its fun!
